What we do
Our mission is to raise consciousness of how racism functions in the Newton and North Newton, Kansas communities
and to take action to promote racial justice and resist racism so that the gifts of diverse
members of our community are valued and celebrated.
Our meetings are open to the public. Come check us out! We meet every second Monday of the
month at noon at the Newton Public Library. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to
attend virtually.
The Newton Community for Racial Justice (NCRJ) is a registered non-profit organization
(501c3) with the state of Kansas.
*Newton, Ks | Data USA (2022). Data USA. https://datausa.io/profile/geo/newton-ks/newton
Approximately 35% of Newton, and 27% of North Newton, Kansas live in multicultural households.
Too often communities aren’t designed to be intentional about being anti-racist. This context
allows us to come together in equitable ways to promote equality for our communities
regardless of race, gender, or orientation.
